Sweet spicy subtleness
Flavours: 1 tbsp miso paste, 1 tsp sesame oil, 2 tsp dark soy sauce, 2 tsp balsamic vinegar, lots of pepper!!
Bulk: 2 large orange peppers (or 3 medium ones), 200g firm tofu
Jazzy: add 2 tsp mirin for a sweeter deal
Great with: here I had it with spiralized cucumber with added soy sauce, but would also be great with sticky rice, brown rice and noodles
Lets cook: Preheat the oven to 220oC. Cut the tofu into bite-size cubes and slice the pepper. Add a little oil to a baking tray then bake for 30 minutes until some of the edges of the pepper is charred and the tofu is crispy. Meanwhile, mix the flavours together and once the baking is over, leave to cool for a few minutes before stirring everything together in a big bowl/pan. Then serve up with side of your choice
